El incendio y destrucción de la judería estellesa de 1328 fueron terriblemente trágicos para la familia. Solamente pudo salir con vida del desastre el hijo mayor, Menahem. El año 1331 dejó éste Navarra y se estableció en Castilla, llegando a ser rabino y maestro de Torá en Alcalá y Toledo, dond murió en el año 1385. En 1373 redactó en Toledo la obra titulada "Tzeda la-Derek" (Provisón para el camino), calificada por los experto entre las tres más importantes del género halájico del judaísmo español en la segunda mital del siglo XIII.

In the supposed experts, most players see the best advisers. But only in 54 percent of cases the responses of the phone joker is correct. This is still more than a 50:50 joker. However the much better choice is the audience joker. This joker has an average success rate of about 90 percent regardless of the time of its use. Therefore it is the best joker of all by using the collective distributed knowledge of people. That demonstrates that the participation of the crowd usually leads to a better result because the average of many independent judgments is often very close to the truth. Several years ago the sociologist James Surowiecki described this phenomenon in his international bestseller "The Wisdom of the Crowds" and demonstrated with many examples that a group can find better solutions and make more intelligent decisions than individuals. Though positioning has been addressed in social psychology and in identity construction, less attention has been paid to the specific linguistic markers which are drawn upon in discourse to position the self and other(s). This volume focusses on address terms, pragmatic markers, code switching/choice and orthography, the indexicalities of which are explored in different communicative activities. The volume is unusual in: i) the range of languages which are covered: Bergamasco, Brazilian Portuguese, English, Finnish, French, Georgian, Greek, Italian, Latin, Russian, Spanish and Swedish; ii) the inclusion of different communicative settings and text-types: workplace emails, everyday and institutional conversations, interviews, migrant narratives, radio phone-ins, dyadic and group settings, road-signs, service encounters; iii) its consideration of both synchronic and diachronic factors; iv) its mix of theoretical and methodological approaches. The volume illustrates some of the linguistic means speakers draw on to position themselves and others and hopes to stimulate further research studies in this vein.

It has been pointed out that mitigation or alleviation of such climate change leading to the extreme weather events in the next 30 years can be possible only by reducing air pollutants with positive radiative forcing such as ozone or methane, which are called short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs).
